Born in 1943, Larry Milberry has been following aviation since he was a boy. His publishing days began with writing magazine articles, and his first book appeared in 1979. Since then he has accumulated 21 titles, all but one from CANAV Books, his one-man publishing operation. In covering the achievements of Canadian aviators and the impact of Canadian aviation technology, Milberry's research has taken him to all parts of Canada and to many overseas destinations. Although never a pilot, he has flown in more than 100 types from the Ford Trimotor to the Norseman, C-130 Hercules, CF-18 Hornet, Pitts Special, Sikorsky Skycrane and the giant Antonov 124.
